Search results list page
- Expansion of other names and synonyms
- J-GLOBAL determines the category of the entered keyword term (name of person, Organization name, term, etc.).
Based on the judgment results, aliases (synonyms) are pulled from J-GLOBAL’s internal dictionaries and displayed.
Select the desired aliases for inclusion in the search and click the Search again button to rerun the search with the OR operator with the selected aliases.
This will produce results with few omissions in the results. 
- Number of search hits
- Displays the number of hits in each category.
- Refine search
- The collection of search results can be refined with, for example, authors and their affiliated Organizations. For each item, no more than the top 100 results will be shown.
The refined search may be performed with multiple filters enabled. For items available for refinement, refer here. - Selected filters
- Displays the current items selections for refining the search.
- Display order
- By default, the results are displayed in order of score, calculated by J-GLOBAL original algorithm.
Besides score order, the other sort orders are:- All, Researcher, Organization, Technical Term, Chemical Substance, and Research Resource: In order of Update Date Newest/Update Date Oldest
- Article: In order of Update Date Newest/Update Date Oldest/Publication Year Newest/Publication Year Oldest
- Patent: In order of Update Date Newest/Update Date Oldest/Application Year Newest/Application Year Oldest
- Research Project: In order of Update Date Newest/Update Date Oldest/Starting Year Newest/Starting Year Oldest
- Chemical Subsutance: In order of Update Date Newest/Update Date Oldest/Molecular Weight Largest/Molecular Weight Smallest
- Cross search
- J-GLOBAL allow to search not only from keyword but also from article and patent information.
- Chemical Subsutance：Chemical substances included in articles in the the result of keyword search
- Material：Publication materials of artcles with retrieved keywords
- Search from article, Search from patent information
- On the researchers and organizations search page, the results from the articles and patent information are displayed.
On this page, a Co-authored map to visualize Co-occurrence relation between the articles included in the search results.
