抄録/ポイント： 古代寄生虫を研究する古寄生虫学では,考古学的サンプルに残された寄生虫卵残存物を顕微鏡や分子的解析で調べる。このようにして得た情報によって,古代社会が直面していた寄生生物と感染パターンに関する推測が与えられる。朝鮮時代のミイラから得た古代の糞の解析によって,韓国ですでに知られていたミイラの規制のデータに新たに6つの寄生データを付け加えた。今回の顕微鏡調査によってTrichuris,Clonorchis,Paragonimus,Ascaris,Taeniaの古代寄生生物の卵を見出した。これによって更新されたデータを20世紀の韓国国立サーベイ統計と比較すると,古代と現代の寄生率の明らかな差が見られた。これらの結果は非常に貴重な知見,すなわち従来の歴史的調査では得られない,近代化前の東アジア社会での寄生に関する知識の根本に貢献するものであった。(翻訳著者抄録)
