抄録/ポイント： まず降水調節必要性を説明し世界の国々における取組を簡単に紹介する。次に人工降雨に化学的基礎と問題点を簡潔に述べた後,人工降雨研究の現状を紹介した。人工降雨・降雪研究の最新動向を文部科学技術振興調整費「渇水対策のための人工降雨・降雪に関する総合的研究:JCSEPA」の成果を概説した。最後に雲・降水の人工調節の将来を展望する。
