【要約】【目的】リーン条件で800°C以上の高温が作用した場合においても、触媒貴金属のシンタリングを確実に防止できる排気ガス浄化用触媒を製造する。【構成】多孔質担体を貴金属溶液中に浸漬して触媒貴金属を担持した貴金属担持担体とする貴金属担持工程と、貴金属担持担体を非酸化性雰囲気中800°C以上で熱処理する熱処理工程と、からなることを特徴とする。例えばPtが熱処理時にPtO2 となって気相移動するのが防止され、かつ多孔質担体1の細孔10が収縮して触媒貴金属2を緊密に取り囲んで固定するため、触媒貴金属のシンタリングが防止され耐熱性が向上する。
