複数の車両の通行に関する制御を行う交通制御システムであって、自車と他車の間で双方向の車車間通信を行う通信手段と、前記通信手段を介して、通行の優先度に関する情報を前記他車から受け取り、前記自車と他車の優先度を管理する優先制御手段と、前記自車と他車の優先度に基づいて、該自車の通行に関する判断を行い、該判断の結果を前記通信手段を介して該他車に通知する通行制御手段とを備えることを特徴とする交通制御システム。
