【課題】ヤング率が低く冷間加工が容易で軽量であり、眼鏡フレームなどに好適なチタン合金とその製造方法の提供。【解決手段】Nbを13〜28atom%、Snを0.1〜10atom%含有し、残部がTiおよび不純物からなる低ヤング率β型チタン合金。およびこれらの成分に加えて、それぞれが0.1〜5atom%以下のV、Mo、W、ZrおよびAlを1種または2種以上含有し、残部がTiおよび不純物からなる低ヤング率β型チタン合金。これらの合金は、加工後β変態点以上に加熱し、冷却することによりβ合金とする。【選択図】なし。
