【課題】マグネシウム合金箔とその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】質量%で、Al:1〜11.0%、Zn:0.1〜2.0%、Mn:0.15〜0.5%を含有し、さらに所望によりCa、Sr、REの1種類以上を0.05〜2%含有し、残部がMgおよび不可避不純物からなり、その不可避不純物中のFe、Ni、Co、Cuを50ppm未満、Clを20ppm未満に規制した組成を有するマグネシウム合金溶湯を、好適には連続鋳造圧延にして、帯状のマグネシウム合金板材に加工したものを基板とし、圧延等の塑性加工により箔厚0.02〜0.2mm未満まで薄肉化したマグネシウム合金箔として、好適にはAl-Mn化合物のサイズが10μm未満である、マグネシウム合金箔を得る。【選択図】なし
