【要約】【構成】純度99%以上で、かつSiの含有量が1500ppm以下の窒化アルミニウム質焼結体により耐蝕性部材を形成する。また、上記耐蝕性部材により少なくとも半導体ウエハや液晶用ガラス基板などのウエハを保持する載置面を形成してウエハ保持装置を構成する。【効果】プラズマを発生させたハロゲン系腐蝕性ガス下に曝したとしてもエッチングされ難い。しかも、高純度の窒化アルミニウム質焼結体からなることから不純物により半導体ウエハや液晶用ガラス基板などのウエハを汚染したり、あるいは絶縁破壊などの悪影響を与えることがない。
