外装フィルムにより電池要素を収容し、前記電池要素の周囲の前記外装フィルムの接合面を熱融着して密封形成されたフィルム外装電池において、熱融着部の一部に前記電池要素方向に向けて突出熱融着部を形成し、該突出熱融着部及び/又は隣接する熱融着部にガス放出部を有することを特徴とするフィルム外装電池。
