【要約】【課題】人体皮膚面に適用したときにベトツキ感や皮膚刺激感が少なく、使用感に優れ、噴霧され微粒子化された場合の鼻粘膜への刺激を低減し、かつ施用したときの害虫忌避効力の持続性に優れる害虫忌避エアゾールを提供する。【解決手段】害虫忌避エアゾールは、その成分として少なくとも害虫忌避成分とモノテルペン類を含有する。好適な態様においては、上記モノテルペン類に加えてさらに植物精油を含有する。好適には、上記モノテルペン類の含有量は害虫忌避成分の4〜20重量%の割合であり、また上記植物精油の含有量は害虫忌避成分の1〜10重量%の割合である。特に好適な態様は、上記モノテルペン類がメントールであり、上記植物精油がホホバ油であり、害虫忌避成分がN,N-ジエチル-m-トルアミド(DEET)であるものである。
