【課題】本発明は、セルロース系バイオマスから、エタノールなど有用な物質を酵素反応と微生物による発酵により、容易かつ収率良く得るための変換方法の開発を課題とする。【解決手段】セルロース系バイオマスを酵素で糖さらには微生物でエタノール等有用物質に変換する際に、硬質のボール等を用いることにより、変換の効率が上昇することを見出した。【選択図】なし

セルロース系バイオマスを酵素反応単独又は発酵併用によって物質変換を行う際に、同一反応容器内でセルロース系バイオマスと硬質の物質を反応液に共存させ、反応容器を振盪しながら物質変換を行う方法。
