【請求項1】 サーモグラフィを用いて哺乳類(ヒトを除く)の外陰部周辺部位とその隣接部位を撮影し、外陰部周辺部位の最高温度と坐骨結節部の温度との温度差に基づき個体の発情時期を検定することにより発情の可能性のある個体のスクリーニングを行うことを特徴とする、哺乳類(ヒトを除く)の雌の発情時期のスクリーニング方法。
