【課題】農作物栽培圃場における防虫技術を提供する。【解決手段】圃場80の超音波防虫システム10は、複数の超音波発生装置20と、それらを制御するシステム制御部30とを備える。システム制御部30は、システム通信部32を有し、そのシステム通信部32を介して超音波発生装置20の動作を制御する。超音波発生装置20は、振動素子22と、出力制御部24と、通信部26とを備える。出力制御部24は、パルス出力部28と変調制御部29を備える。変調制御部29は、パルス出力部28のパルス出力に対して、周波数をスイープさせたパルス変調を施す。【選択図】図6

コウモリが発する超音波の波長領域を有する出力パターンを、第1のパルス継続時間の超音波出力を1パルスとする第1の超音波パルスを第1の周波数領域で出力するパターンと、第2のパルス継続時間の超音波出力を1パルスとする第2の超音波パルスを第2の周波数領域で出力するパターンとを含んだ出力パターンとして繰り返し出力するパルス出力手段、 を備えることを特徴とする害虫防除装置。
