【請求項1】 車両の動力伝達手段に用いられる摩擦材の評価試験を行うための摩擦材の強度評価試験装置において、 摩擦材を所定角度で載置する載置面が形成された第1保持手段と、 前記載置面と略同一角度とされて当該載置面と対峙した挟持面が形成され、当該挟持面と前記載置面との間に前記摩擦材を挟持させて当該摩擦材を保持可能な第2保持手段と、 前記第1保持手段と第2保持手段とで摩擦材を保持した状態で当該第1保持手段及び第2保持手段とが互いに離間する方向へ荷重を付与し、当該摩擦材に対して圧縮荷重と同時にせん断荷重を付与可能な駆動手段と、 を備えるとともに、前記第1保持手段の載置面及び第2保持手段の挟持面の角度は、任意調整可能とされたことを特徴とする摩擦材の強度評価試験装置。
