【請求項1】茶葉の画像情報に含まれる光学データを用いて植生指数を算出し、芽重及び出開き度からなる群より選択される少なくとも1つの評価項目と植生指数との相関関係に基づいて、算出された前記植生指数を用いて前記評価項目について茶葉の摘採適性を評価する茶葉の摘採適性評価方法であって、前記相関関係は、前記植生指数をx、前記評価項目の値をyとする時、芽重に関しては関係式:y=e×log(x+f)+g、出開き度に関しては関係式:x=hy3+iy2+jy+kで示される(式中、e,f,g,h,i,j及びkは定数である)で表される茶葉の摘採適性評価方法。
