【請求項1】日本人の被験者のRNF213遺伝子におけるc.14576G>A多型(reference sequenceはNM_020914)を検出し、ホモ接合性の多型A/Aを持つ場合に、予後不良の重症型である、あるいは発症リスクが高いと判定する、もやもや病の検査方法であって、前記c.14576G>A多型が、配列番号1に示す、NM020914に対応するgenomic sequence中の124279番目のGがAに置換しているものである、前記方法。
