【課題】患者における糖尿病性腎症もしくは関連する障害のリスクを監視または判定し、糖尿病管理を改善するための方法を提供すること。【解決手段】患者が糖尿病に関連する腎症を発症するリスクおよび/または割合を判定するために、血漿の限外濾過液等の生体試料中のバイオマーカー、具体的には、終末糖化産物(AGE)および酸化生成物(Op)のレベルを判定するための方法が使用される。測定する好ましいバイオマーカーは、Nε-(1-カルボキシエチル-リジン(CEL)、メチルグリオキシル由来ヒドロイミダゾロン(MGHI)、およびNε-カルボキシメチルリジン(CML)を含む。【選択図】なし
