【請求項1】 溶融塩の存在下で二酸化ケイ素を電解還元させることによってシリコンを製造する方法であって、電解還元装置として、電解槽の内面底部にシリコンからなる陰極が配置された電解還元装置を用い、前記シリコンからなる陰極上に二酸化ケイ素を載置させた状態で当該二酸化ケイ素を電解還元させることを特徴とするシリコンの製造方法。
