【請求項1】 アルカリ金属が封入されたアルカリ金属セルと、 前記アルカリ金属セルにレーザ光を照射する光源と、 前記アルカリ金属セルを透過した光を検出する光検出器と、 を有し、前記光源を周波数変調させることによりサイドバンドを発生させ、前記サイドバンドである2つの異なる波長のレーザ光を前記アルカリ金属セルに入射させることにより、2種類の共鳴光による量子干渉効果による光吸収特性により変調周波数を制御するものであって、 前記サイドバンドは、3次のサイドバンドであることを特徴とする原子発振器。
