【請求項1】アセチルCoAからアセチルリン酸への変換を触媒する酵素であるホスホトランスアセチラーゼを欠損し、かつ乳酸デヒドロゲナーゼを高発現する乳酸生産性モーレラ属細菌株であって、前記乳酸生産性モーレラ属細菌株のゲノムDNAの塩基配列中に、乳酸生産性の好熱性嫌気性細菌に由来する乳酸デヒドロゲナーゼをコードする遺伝子(ldh)の塩基配列と、オロチジン5’-リン酸デカルボキシラーゼをコードする遺伝子(pyrF)の塩基配列と、外来性の抗生物質耐性遺伝子の塩基配列とを有し、配列番号2のアミノ酸配列からなるタンパク質をコードする遺伝子の塩基配列および配列番号4のアミノ酸配列からなるタンパク質をコードする遺伝子の塩基配列がない、乳酸生産性モーレラ属細菌株。
