Research overview：
哺乳類特異的ゲノム機能としてゲノム・インプリンティングをとらえ直し、配偶子形成過程でのゲノム刷り込みの実態の解明と分子機構に関わる因子を同定し、哺乳類をモデルとしたゲノム機能の獲得とその生物群の特殊性の関係の解析へと研究を展開します。また、顕微受精、クローン動物等の哺乳類初期胚操作技術におけるインプリンティングコントロールの重要性を明らかにし、この機能を応用した新しい生殖工学技術の開発をめざします。
