【要約】【構成】 濾材本体がSiO2 を含む無機質繊維を主体として構成され、前記濾材本体にTiO2 光触媒を担持させ、前記濾材本体と前記光触媒との界面がTi-O-Si結合で接合された濾材。【効果】 TiO2 光触媒は、通常の室内で得られる蛍光灯や白熱電灯などの4eV以下の低エネルギ光や窓ガラスを透過してくる太陽光や濾材の近傍に設けられた光源からの光などにより光触媒反応を起こすので、特別な装置を設けることなく、除塵と同時に有害ガスの分解やかび等の雑菌の殺菌をすることができる。
