【要約】【課題】化粧品に配合した際に、従来の牛皮や豚皮由来の加水分解コラーゲンと同様に、毛髪に対して艶、潤い、なめらかさや良好な櫛通り性を付与し、皮膚に対して優れた保湿性やなめらかさを付与し、しかも従来の動物由来の加水分解コラーゲンのような動物臭がほとんどない魚鱗由来加水分解コラーゲンを、魚鱗から容易かつ高収率に製造し、化粧品用原料として適した魚鱗由来加水分解コラーゲンを提供する。【解決手段】魚鱗をアルカリ剤で加水分解し、得られた加水分解液を濾過後、濾液を蛋白質分解酵素で加水分解して魚鱗由来加水分解コラーゲンを製造し、その魚鱗由来加水分解コラーゲンを化粧品用原料として用いる。
