有機溶媒系の電解液を用いる非水二次電池において、XPS分析の光電子スペクトルの酸素のピーク強度(IO )とカーボンのピーク強度(IC )との比IO /IC が0.5〜2.5であり、288eV付近のピーク強度(I288 )と285eV付近のピーク強度(I285 )との比I288 /I285 が1以下の炭素材料を負極に用いたことを特徴とする非水二次電池。
