【課題】 本発明は、放電容量が高く、サイクル寿命に優れ、かつ微細組織を有するリチウムイオン二次電池負極活物質用Si合金粉末およびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】 Si相とCrSi2 相からなる共晶組織を有し、該Si相とCrSi2 相の各相における薄い幅方向の厚みの平均値が4μm以下であることを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池負極用Si合金粉末。また、上記リチウムイオン二次電池負極用Si合金粉末において、at%で、CrとTiを合計で16〜21%含み、Cr%/(Cr%+Ti%)が0.15〜1.00の範囲とする。さらに、上記のSi合金粉末の溶解原料を冷却速度100°C/s以上で急冷凝固させる工程を含むことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池負極用Si合金粉末の製造方法。【選択図】 図1
