【請求項1】デオキシコール酸を含む色素増感溶液の形で色素増感型光電変換素子に用いられ、下記一般式(1)で表される構造を有していることを特徴とする増感色素。 (なお、R1、R2は水素原子または炭素数1〜5のアルキル基であり、これらの炭素数は同じであっても異なっていてもよい。また、R3、R4、R5、R6は、水素原子または炭素数1〜5のアルキル基であり、これらの炭素数は同じであっても異なっていてもよい。また、Xはハロゲンを表し、Yは一価の陰イオンである。さらに、n、mは1〜5の整数を表し、このnとmとは同じ数であっても異なる数であってもよい。)
