【請求項1】薄膜のヤング率相当の機械特性を測定する方法であって、機械特性が既知のフィルム基板の片面に、前記薄膜を成膜し、異なる複数の環境湿度における前記薄膜の厚さと前記フィルム基板の歪みとを測定し、前記フィルム基板の歪み変化と、前記薄膜の厚さ変化により、バイメタル効果を考慮して基板と薄膜の膨張率とひずみの関係を表す式のヤング率の項を変数として書き直した関係式に基づき、前記ヤング率相当の機械特性を算定することを特徴とする薄膜のヤング率相当の機械特性の測定方法。
