【請求項1】 筒状の側壁部材と、該側壁部材に固定される台座部材と、からなる金属フレームと、 該金属フレームにおける前記台座部材の表裏面のそれぞれに配置され、測定試料又は参照試料を保持し、前記台座部材と前記測定試料の間の温度差に比例する熱起電力、又は、前記台座部材と前記参照試料の間の温度差に比例する熱起電力、をそれぞれ発生させる一対の半導体熱電素子と、 前記金属フレームの側壁部材の開口部分を覆う一対の金属キャップと、を有し、 前記台座部材は、側壁部材近傍の厚さが、半導体熱電素子が配置される部分における厚さよりも薄い示差走査型熱量計。
