【請求項1】好気槽と脱窒槽からなるアンモニア含有廃水の生物学的窒素処理プロセスにおいて、フェノールを生物の活性阻害物質として好気槽の上流部に添加する方法であって、前記好気槽中に存在するアンモニア酸化細菌と亜硝酸酸化細菌の両方の活性を阻害させた後、活性阻害が生じた後の前記アンモニア酸化細菌と亜硝酸酸化細菌との間の活性回復速度の差を利用して、前記好気槽内において前記アンモニア酸化細菌の活性を回復させ、かつ、前記亜硝酸酸化細菌の活性が阻害されたままとなるように、前記フェノールを前記好気槽に対して添加することを特徴とする、アンモニア含有廃水の生物学的窒素処理方法。
