【請求項1】炭素繊維基材を複数枚積層して製造される炭素繊維強化プラスチック用の炭素繊維基材であって互いに交差する炭素繊維マルチフィラメント糸の経糸と緯糸とで形成されている炭素繊維基材において、表面及び裏面のうちの少なくとも一方の面であって前記積層時に他の炭素繊維基材と対向する面に前記炭素繊維マルチフィラメント糸の一部のフィラメントを切断して形成された毛羽を有すると共に、その毛羽が形成された面における前記経糸に形成された毛羽の総毛羽長と前記緯糸に形成された毛羽の総毛羽長とが不等であることを特徴とする炭素繊維基材。
