【請求項1】 船舶の船首部に船首バルブを有する船首形状であって、前記船首バルブに設けるバルブ付加物として前記船首バルブの側方に突出した、前記船舶のバラスト状態での走行時に前記船首バルブの上面に乗り上げる波を誘起する造波誘起手段を備え、前記造波誘起手段が、静止水面に対して後端部よりも前端部が低くなるように配置されていることを特徴とするバルブ付加物による抵抗軽減船首形状。
