【請求項1】匂い物質が供給されると、その匂い物質に反応してセンサ部の抵抗値が変化するセンサ素子と、前記センサ部に温度変化を付与する温度制御装置と、前記センサ部の抵抗値の変化を示す抵抗値信号を取得し、この抵抗値信号を分析することによって、供給された前記匂い物質を特定する匂い物質分析手段とを備え、前記温度制御装置は、前記センサ部の温度変化の波形が、振動の振幅及び周波数が規則的に変化する動作を一定の周期で繰り返す波形になるように制御し、前記匂い物質分析手段は、取得した前記抵抗値信号の周波数スペクトルを分析することによって、前記センサ部に供給された前記匂い物質を識別することを特徴とする匂い検出装置。
