【請求項1】有機ポリマー系の低レベル放射性廃棄物を、酸化ルテニウム触媒の存在下で超臨界水反応させることで、前記低レベル放射性廃棄物を分解気化・液状化させ、前記低レベル放射性廃棄物に含まれている放射性核種の不溶化物を生成させて固相移行(分離)させる低レベル放射性廃棄物の処理方法において、低レベル放射性廃棄物が、放射性核種として、鉄とともに少なくともコバルト、ストロンチウムの一方を含み、前記超臨界水反応に際して、前記各放射性核種の非放射性同位体であるキャリヤーとともに非放射性水酸化鉄(III)を添加する、ことを特徴とする低レベル放射性廃棄物の処理方法。
