Research overview：
腎臓の細胞に特異的に存在するメグシン遺伝子を改変した腎疾患モデル動物の研究開発を行う。メグシン遺伝子改変動物はヒトの腎炎と極めて類似した病変を示す。効率よく短期間に腎炎を発症する腎炎モデル動物を作製することで、今後増加が予想される腎疾患に対する医薬品開発での利用が期待される。
