Research overview：
カーボンニュートラルの実現に欠かせない軽量材料であるアルミニウム合金に対して、水蒸気を駆使して材料内部および表面の性能を同時に引き出すことに挑戦します。材料中の原子の拡散を操る「組織制御」と、材料表面を自在に機能化させる「表面工学」、これらの学問を水蒸気を基軸として斬新に融合することによって、自動車や電池といった多分野で利用でき、次世代の社会基盤形成に欠かせない革新的軽量材料を創出します。
