n型窒化物半導体とp型窒化物半導体との間に、活性層を有する窒化物半導体素子において、n型窒化物半導体にn型多層膜層を、p型窒化物半導体にp型多層膜層をそれぞれ有し、前記n型多層膜層を構成する窒化物半導体の組成と、p型多層膜層を構成する窒化物半導体の組成とが、異なることを特徴とする窒化物半導体素子。
