ゾルゲル法により作製したゲルに金属成分の濃度分布を形成後、濃度分布を固定する工程において、金属成分の濃度分布を固定する速度が、金属成分に濃度分布を形成する速度より、速いことを特徴とする屈折率分布型光学素子の製造方法。
