【要約】【課題】操舵角を切り増ししなくても正確に路面摩擦状態を推定できるようにする。【解決手段】スリップ角推定手段34で、操舵角と車速とに基づいて前輪のスリップ角を推定し、SAT推定手段36で、操舵トルクとアシストトルクとに基づいて、SATを推定し、スリップ角基準値演算手段38でSATの推定値に対するスリップ角基準値を演算する。摩擦状態推定手段40は、グリップ状態が低下する程、スリップ角基準値に比較してスリップ角が大きくなることを利用してグリップ状態を推定する。また、操舵角中立点、及びタイヤの空気圧低下を推定するようにする。
