【請求項1】制御装置での動作制御により、周囲に存在する移動障害物の移動情報の検出結果に基づいて、当該移動障害物との干渉を回避するように自律移動するロボットにおいて、前記制御装置は、前記ロボットが前記移動障害物に将来的に干渉する可能性が有る場合に、当該移動障害物における前記ロボットの存在に対する認識の程度を表す認識度を推定する認識度推定手段と、当該認識度に応じて、前記干渉を回避するための前記移動障害物への働きかけを選択し、前記ロボットに動作指令する働きかけ選択手段とを備え、前記働きかけは、前記干渉を回避するために前記ロボットを方向変換させる移動方向の変更と、前記移動障害物に対して回避を促す音声を発生する声掛けと、前記ロボットの一部を前記移動障害物に接触させる接触とがあり、前記働きかけ選択手段では、前記ロボットが前記移動障害物の横を通り抜ける際の通り抜けスペースの有無が判定され、当該通り抜けスペースの有無毎に、前記認識度に応じて、前記働きかけの何れか、若しくは任意の組み合わせが選択され、種類の異なる前記働きかけがなされることを特徴とする自律移動ロボット。
