【課題】 車両が車線から逸脱しそうになるとドライバに警報を行うようにした車線維持支援装置に関し、運転者に車両の車線からの横ずれを確実に認識させることができ、且つ運転者が支援装置を過信することを防止できるようにする。【解決手段】 車両のステアリングホイール1に車両の運動に影響を与えない程度の高い操舵入力周波数でパルス状のトルクを発生させる。このような高周波入力は人間は触感により感知しやすいので、車両にヨーモーメントを発生させずに運転者にシステムの作動を認識させることが可能となる。【選択図】 図1
